I am so grateful for my share of the California Dream, and it’s why I’m running for State Assembly.

My path wasn’t easy. Despite two college degrees from Pakistani universities, when I arrived here I had to start over with minimum wage jobs, like mopping gas station floors, before eventually working my way up to a successful financial services industry career.

That was 25 years ago, when California was a beacon of opportunity. Now, my goal: rekindle economic opportunity and financial security for anyone willing to work hard. That’s what I’ll do as your State Assembly Member.
